Frontend Web Development Bootcamp - React.js at GDSC ESTIN

I had the privilege of leading a transformative React.js workshop at GDSC ESTIN’s ‘GDSC School’ event held in the vibrant city of ESTIN Béjaïa. This intensive bootcamp was a deep dive into modern frontend development with React.

Bootcamp Structure

Over the course of an enlightening two-day journey, consisting of four comprehensive sessions, we started with web fundamentals, moved into React foundations, and dedicated the second day to building a full TODO app with authentication and CRUD.

Day 1: React Foundations

Session 1: Web Foundations

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript essentials
• DOM basics and event handling
• Tooling and project setup

Session 2: React Fundamentals (In Depth)

• Component-driven UI and JSX
• Props and state in functional components
• Hooks essentials: useState and useEffect
• Data flow and event handling

Day 2: Build Day — TODO App

Session 3: Auth + CRUD Setup

• App structure and routing
• Authentication flow (sign in/sign out)
• CRUD foundations for tasks

Session 4: Finish the TODO App

• Create, read, update, delete tasks
• Form handling and validation
• UI polish and best practices

Interactive Learning Experience

Our discussions extended beyond the basics, encompassing:

• Essential Practices: Clean code, component composition, and optimization
• Code Reviews: Peer learning and feedback
• Problem-Solving: Debugging and troubleshooting together
